We believe...
-
In the Bible being the infallible and authoritative Word of God.
-
In one God, Creator of heaven and earth, who reveals Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
In Jesus Christ being God and human being, deceased and risen.
-
In the forgiveness of sins by the cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ.
-
In Jesus Christ being the only way to salvation and eternal life.
-
In the necessity to conversion and the subsequently renaissance, given by God.
-
In the necessity of service of Biblical water baptism through submersion, exclusively to conscious believers.
-
In baptism in the Holy Spirit with the scriptural revelation of gifts of expression, of mercy and of service.
-
In an eternal life, together with God the Father and Jesus Christ, together with all believers, who lived with Jesus.
-
In the power of the Holy Spirit, Who kills the sins of the body and by which He makes us able to lead a holy and conquering life. This way the nine fold fruit of the Holy Spirit can become visible with the opportunity to grow up to perfection as meant by God.
-
In divine cure through prayer or laying hands and the application of oil to the sick on the score of the accomplished work of Jesus Christ.
-
In the liberation of the sick and bound on the score of the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ, Who has all power in heaven and on earth.
-
In the return of Jesus Christ to take his church, after which the celebration of the marriage supper of the Lamb will be.
-
In an empire of peace for a thousand years, where Jesus Christ will reign the entire earth with His church: a people of kings and priests. After that, there will be a new heaven and a new earth, where justice will be.
-
In the necessity of regular celebration of the Supper, by which our faith is strengthened in the relation with Jesus Christ and with each other.
-
In the great commission as defined in Mark 16:15-18 ; Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
This entire message is foretold in Isaiah 61:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
And is confirmed by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in Luke 4:17-21:
And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
Our name means:
Kempic Full Gospel Church Rehoboth. It's a mouth full of words, but there is a meaning behind it. Kempic means that we want to tell everybody in the Kempen about Jesus. With "Full Gospel" we mean "the entire message". Also called "Pentacostal Church" or "Pinkster Gemeente". Church (Gemeente) is a biblical term for community and "Rehoboth" means "source of living water". That is what we want to be for the Kempen.
