Resurrection

The resurrection, I like it. It is clear what resurrection I mean by that. Other synonyms for resurrection are cool too. Renaissance, revival, recovery. An opposite of the word 'resurrection' is 'downfall'.

To the devil, Jesus' death was His downfall. Till the third day the sound of that mighty voice came. “Arise My Love”.

Then it started. With God's power the entire empire of the dead was shaken. There He stood, in power and majesty, conquering the death. I imagine all devilish powers getting completely scared. Very disappointing, they had fallen in their own foolishness. That was it.

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.1 Cor 2:8

Yes, the resurrection, I like it. Because I know now that you and I also share in that fantastic resurrection. Right now I am experiencing that recovery already. I am already born again. I will resurrect too. That is why we do not need to be feared to death.

This way, there is no death for us anymore. Wonderful, those words of Jesus:

He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:25-26

But something wonderful is added to that:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Now that is what I call resurrection! Thank You Jesus, marvellous what You have done.

A blessed resurrection celebration!
