Do you know how many people believe in Jesus ? At this moment there are over 2 billion Christians all over the world. The evangelical churches yearly are growing by more than 5 % which means 300 million people.

What about Jesus ?

Remember it was He who split the era in two. The period before Christ and the period after Christ. During His life here on earth He did very remarkable things which others before Him never had done.

He transformed water into wine
He fed a group of over 5000 people with 5 rolls and 2 tiny fish.
He broke the laws of nature by walking on the water.
He healed the lame, the blind, the deaf, the lepers.
He raised the dead.
He forgave people their sins.
He spoke with authority so that people were changed internally.
He taught us to forgive one another.
He taught us to love one another.
He pardoned the people that tortured Him and crucified Him.
He said He was the Son of God.
He was crucified, buried, but He raised from the death.
After all he had said and done, He left a deep impression.

How do we know all these things about Jesus ?

People who were eyewitness's of all these things wrote them down. Over 500 people saw Jesus after His resurrection from the death.

What was the aim of Jesus ?

God had created the world in a perfect manner. Everything was to perfection. God gave the humans a world filled with harmony and happiness , where there was no illness, sadness or death. But the human being went his own way. Has surrendered to God's adversary, the satan.
That caused the world to be infected by satan with a deadly virus of sin, illness and misery.

God wanted to save the people from this misery. God called "Adam, where are you ?" God still calls out today and just fill in your own name. He says :"......., where are you ?"

In order to save the people God has send Jesus to the earth. Stepping in our place for our missteps Jesus took our punishment and the consequences thereof upon himself by going on the cross. Jesus took the punishment by entering death which in fact should be our destiny.

Jesus came to earth in order to:

* restore our relation with God, by forgiving our sins.
* teach us how to live our life.
* give us a life of hope and prosperity here on earth.
* give us eternal life.
* cure us from all diseases and ailments, physically as well as mentally.
